When: Monday, July 10, 7 p.m.
Where: Zoom
What: Please join us for a virtual discussion with Maryland Medicaid leaders on the Healthy Babies Program. Health Care for the Homeless will be co-hosting alongside the Maryland Nurses Association and other health professional partners. We were one of the many strong voices supporting this legislation in 2022, and we are excited to see the culmination of our work.
The Healthy Babies Program is an innovative new program to improve health outcomes of new moms and newborns by extending Medicaid coverage to low-income, pregnant individuals regardless of immigration status. The program was established by legislation and as of July 1st, all individuals who are pregnant will be eligible for full Medicaid coverage – somatic, behavioral, and dental – while they are pregnant and for one year post-partum.
This webinar will be a great opportunity to learn more about how this coverage will work and ask questions of our Medicaid program, who has been working tirelessly to put this program together. Open to staff and all those who are interested.
