It is a day dedicated to celebrating, encouraging, and lifting up stories around the act of coming out-- the process of identifying, accepting, and sharing with others one's sexual orientation and gender identity.
It is not a single event. Explore ways to honor the stories and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community below.

National Coming Out Day Drop in Button Making Session
Staff and clients are welcome to join us on Wednesday, October 11 to celebrate with a Button Making Session.
Come join us in celebrating National Coming Out Day in 421 Fallsway, 1st floor lobby outside Art Group Room! If you missed the Pride Month button-making drop-in session, you can still join us to pick up a National Coming Out Day-themed button, a pronoun pin, or create your OWN button with whichever design you choose! Buttons and art supplies will be provided, and pre-made buttons will be available during and after the event. No art experience required!
Share Your Story!
Share a coming-out story, a reflection on what identity and acceptance mean to you, or a message of support and celebration—all are welcome to participate!
You can leave a message directly on our virtual Jamboard or submit your message below.
Submit anonymously or enter your email and respond before October 18 to be entered into a raffle!
