One in five trans individuals and 41% of Black transgender people have experienced homelessness. We're committed to providing LGBTQ+ affirming care and advocating for trans people’s access to medical care in Maryland. That's why it's one of our legislative priorities this year before the Maryland General Assembly.
We are working in partnership with the Trans Rights Advocacy Coalition (TRAC) to pass SB 119/HB 691, a bill to add gender-affirming care to the type of care that is shielded from outside states bringing criminal, civil or medical board action against the provision of Gender Affirming Care.
