When James came to Health Care for the Homeless, he realized that he could do more than find a job and a place to live: He could help others get back on their feet, too. Now, James not only has a job at Camden Yards and a place to call home, he is an invaluable advocate, volunteer and leader for the Health Care for the Homeless community. James participates on the Consumer Relations Committee that guides the agency on how it can better serve the community, and shares his story with diverse audiences to raise awareness about homelessness through the Faces of Homelessness Speakers’ Bureau.
On Sunday, May 21 James will be recognized as a Birdland Community hero at the Orioles game for his leadership in advocacy and community service!
