International exchange

08.23.17

As a result of our commitment to providing quality, integrated health care, we are uniquely positioned to share our expertise with the local community, and beyond.

Over the past month, Health Care for the Homeless has opened its doors to two international delegations—one from Russia, as part of the American Council of Young Political Leaders, and the other from Iraq, as members of the World Trade Center Institute. The delegations are comprised of leaders including elected officals, business experts and public servants.

These international education exchanges connect participants to counterparts in government and business institutions abroad for the purpose of sharing knowledge that might aid in addressesing global challeneges. By participating in these programs, Health Care for the Homeless is helping to build international trust, in addition to sharing best practices in caring for people experiencing homelessness with global leaders. Focusing on our funding strategies and service delivery methods, Health Care for the Homeless gave insight into how we offer client-centered health care and supportive services to so many vulnerable individuals without homes each year.
