Baltimore County client advocacy group community picnic

10.12.16

The Baltimore County client advocacy group held its second annual community picnic in Nottingham Park on Thursday, October 6. Despite initially uncertain weather, the sun and around 50 people came out during the course of the day.

The picnic was an opportunity for the client advocacy group to foster community, have fun and engage new members. Pre-event outreach to clients staying at the nearby Eastern Family Resource Shelter helped to spread the word and generate the robust turnout.

Our Baltimore County Health Care for the Homeless team jumped in to support client advocates, while serving up a tasty menu of grilled hamburgers, chicken, hot dogs, salads, snacks and drinks for attendees.

Music blasting from the back of client advocate Walt Mell's van created the perfect backdrop for volleyball, corn hole, kick ball and dancing—plenty of fun for all!

The Baltimore County client advocacy group meets on the third Friday of the month at 12:30 p.m. at the Eastern Family Resource Center.
