Indigenous Peoples Day and Hispanic Heritage Month Connection

Indigenous Peoples Day and Hispanic Heritage Month occur simultaneously; however, Hispanic Heritage Month has historically failed to celebrate the diverse Indigenous heritage of Hispanic/Latine people. Explore some of the resources below that take a closer look at the Indigenous roots of Hispanic/Latine culture.
