Space updates at 421 Fallsway

05.03.17

There has been some movement on the third floor of 421 Fallsway in recent weeks: Existing staff members are changing workstations, new staff members are filling formerly unoccupied workstations and flexible workstations are being created for folks from other sites as a work home away from home.

All of this represents the latest in the series of changes we’ve been making in the last year to how we use – and make the most of – our space at Fallsway. At the same time, we know that movement can be disconcerting, so we want to share with you what’s happening now, and what’s in store on the space and movement fronts at Fallsway in the weeks ahead.

  • As you know, a second wave of staff members currently at 421 Fallsway will move to 201 E. Baltimore St. in mid-June: the full, four-member scheduling team, our two Beacon Health CAAs and two members of the medical records team.
  • Spaces being vacated by the folks moving to 201 E. Baltimore St. will be used in the short term as drop-in workspaces, until they are repurposed for clinical use in the future.
  • Meanwhile, in recent weeks, staff members in the 3rd-floor administrative area have been shifting spaces to create and consolidate team space.
  • Also in the 3rd-floor administrative area, new staff members are filling formerly empty spaces.
  • We have created five “flexible” spaces in the admin area – four cubes and one office – for anyone to book in Outlook as needed. Just search in the Global Address List for “421 Fallsway flexible cube” or “421 Fallsway flexible office” and book the numbered space you want to use.
  • And lastly, we are creating a drop-in work area in the space that was previously the volunteer area. This will include eight workspaces that you can spontaneously occupy. No need for booking here!

We’ll keep you posted as our use of space at 421 Fallsway continues to evolve, so please stay tuned right here, to your staff portal.
